Privacy policy

Adam Dorian Nikola, who operates Nikola Advisory Group as a sole proprietorship in Gothenburg, Sweden, is the data controller for the data collected on nikolaadvisory.com.

What is collected

The contact form: name, e-mail address, company if you provide it, and your message. The self-assessment: your answers and, if you choose to leave it, your e-mail address. Visitor measurement is not enabled. No visit events are sent to Google Analytics.

Why

To answer your enquiry and, if you asked for it, send a walkthrough of your answers. The legal basis is legitimate interest for enquiries. Nothing is sent that you did not ask for. No newsletter.

For how long

Enquiries are kept in e-mail while the dialogue is ongoing and deleted within twelve months after it ends, unless an engagement follows or the data is needed to protect a legal claim. If an engagement follows, what the Swedish Bookkeeping Act requires is kept for seven years.

Technical logs

The web host records IP address, time, requested page, browser and error messages when the site is visited. This keeps the site secure and running, with legitimate interest as the legal basis. How long logs are kept depends on the host’s security settings. The form’s spam protection keeps a salted hash of the IP address and the times of the attempts in a temporary file. Files older than one hour are deleted. No message is stored there.

Who receives the data

The site is hosted by Strato. Enquiries are sent from the web host to the firm’s email, which is also hosted by Strato. Data is used to handle the enquiry and is not sold.

Transfers outside the EU/EEA

The web host and email are with Strato in the EU. Data from the form and the self-assessment is not transferred to countries outside the EU/EEA. Contact Dorian for more information about how your enquiry is handled.

Your rights

You can request access, correction, deletion, restriction and data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. Complaints can be made to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, imy.se.
